BIOGRAPHY

Nathania Wibowo began her music education at a very young age, when she began her piano studies at Yamaha Music Indonesia. While finishing her degree in Architecture, she joined the Parahyangan University Choir where she gained experience in performing and competing both nationally and internationally. In 2010, she went on to pursue her education at Berklee College of Music, majoring in Voice Performance and Songwriting. Ms. Wibowo obtained the Berklee World Tour Scholarship and selected to be one of the winners of Curtain Up! Musical Theater Writing Competition.

 

After finishing her degree in Boston, she moved to New York City to join the BMI Musical Theater Workshop and continued to write music for musical theater. In New York, Ms. Wibowo also started her career as a piano and vocal teacher in several well known music schools in Queens and Manhattan.

 

Ms. Wibowo is the composer of Night Tide The Musical, in collaboration with New York City-based playwright, Taylor Tash. Night Tide The Musical was an official selection of the 2017 New York Musical Festival and performed by Towle Theater in Hammond, Indiana in Fall 2021. Time Out New York listed Night Tide as one of the best shows of the 2017 NYMF season and it was awarded the Best Musical by the Broadway World 2021 South Bend Awards.

 

In 2016, Nathania went back home and founded LALITA MUSIC SCHOOL in Jakarta, Indonesia. Lalita Music School focused on giving opportunities for their students to perform and participate in concerts and musical theater productions. Lalita Music School also offers scholarships for underprivileged children through intensive musical theater training.
